Goal and purpose of this website

My goal is to be able to make people aware of the struggles abused children went through, and the effects they have to carry within them. So many people are not aware of the gravity this issue carries, and it is crucial for people to know more about its effects, to be able to understand why it is so important to stop it.

What are the types of child abuse?

In general each type of child abuse has horrendous effects that so many people are not aware of, causing the victims of abuse to feel emotions such as fear, distrust and isolation. These emotions can translate into lifelong consequences that can cause low self-esteem, trouble maintaining/forming relationships and depression. Each type of child abuse has their own specific effects, so it will be much easier if we go in depth for it. Studies have shown that the consequences of child abuse, are the four that will be explored throughout this website.

Sexual abuse

"When a child or young person is sexually abused, they're forced or tricked into sexual activities. They might not understand that what's happening is abuse or that it's wrong. And they might be afraid to tell someone. Sexual abuse can happen anywhere – and it can happen in person or online."
